Home Learning

Homework is a key part of our curriculum with the expressed aim of stopping the forgetting from happening.

Homework provides the opportunity for the memorisation and interleaving of both current and past learning to ensure powerful knowledge sticks and students revise effectively for their assessments.

Homework is used as a tool for students to consolidate their learning and revisit what has already been acquired through the delivery of the curriculum during lesson time.

Students will be trained to develop the skills they need to learn the most powerful knowledge of their subjects.

Students will normally receive 1 piece of retrieval homework a week plus another homework that may focus on the practice of exam skills. Homework is used as a tool for students to consolidate their learning and revisit what has already been acquired through the delivery of the curriculum during lesson time.

Teachers will often use electronic platforms to help consolidate learning, such as GCSEPod and Seneca Learning.
