The Governing Body is the strategic leader and critical friend of the school and represents the community’s interests, ensuring The Chase provides a high-quality education for its students in a positive and supportive learning environment.
The Governing Body has three core strategic functions:
Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its students, and the performance of staff; and
Overseeing the financial performance of the school and ensuring the money available to the school is well-spent.
The Governing Body appoints the Headteacher, and delegates the day-to-day operation of the school to the Headteacher.
