School CLOSED Friday 9 January 2026
Due to snowfall overnight, conditions across the school site are extremely slippery. Following a careful assessment of local weather forecasts, road and pavement conditions, the school site and transport routes, we are concerned about the safety of both students and staff.
In particular, we anticipate significant difficulties for staff travelling to school, especially those coming from the North and via non-main roads. As a result, the school will be closed today.
The safety of our whole school community is always our highest priority. This decision has not been taken lightly and we recognise the challenges a school closure can create for families. However, ensuring that no one is placed at risk while travelling to or from school must come first.
