During the first week of the Easter Holidays 32 students (a mixture of Year 9 and 10) went on the Dance tour to London! After a rocky start with cancelled trains to get to London, we finally arrived at Pineapple Dance Studios to participate in a Contemporary Dance workshop!
We then checked into our hotel and had a quick change to get ready for our meal at Pizza Express. After a lovely meal, we had a short walk to the Trafalgar Theatre to watch Jersey Boys! Once the show was over we made our way back to the hotel to sleep and rest to get ready for another jam-packed day. The next day the students took advantage of the “all you can eat” breakfast buffet and then we went to BASE Dance studios to participate in a Street Dance workshop to a classic J-Lo song “Jenny from the block”. We wanted to do a bit of sightseeing before our train home so we managed to swing by Buckingham Palace and Big Ben too.
“The staff and students were great on the trip! It was amazing to be able to take them to London, some of our students have never been to central London before or been on the London underground trains. It was also fantastic to go and see a show in a big London theatre! Thank you to Mrs Secretan and Mrs Cain for their help with the trip! The touring company that we used ‘Premiership Experience’ were brilliant too!”
