We are delighted to share that our school has been awarded Level 1 of the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) School Gardening Awards.
This recognition reflects our commitment to promoting the many benefits of gardening, from supporting wellbeing to encouraging outdoor learning and teamwork. As part of the award, we have demonstrated that we understand the value of gardening in education, that our growing space is accessible to all members of our school community and that we have successfully made a start on our gardening journey.
As part of achieving Level 1, we have received a copy of Your Wellbeing Garden, a book from the RHS offering expert advice on how green spaces can support mental and physical health. We’ve also been given a selection of Mr Fothergill’s seeds to help us continue developing our garden and working towards Level 2.
We look forward to growing our gardening activities further and involving even more students in this exciting initiative.
