Maths Inspiration Trip

On Thursday 23 November a selection of Year 11 and Year 12 Maths students went to a Maths Inspiration Lecture in Birmingham. 

Maths Inspiration is a national programme of interactive maths lecture shows for teenagers, showing them that there's far more to maths than taking exams. 

Our students really enjoyed the lecture and found out the following:

• How Chat GPT is not actually very clever!
• Which type of melting ice will cause sea levels to rise (with a helpful demonstration from Jac, and Charlie disguised as Donald Trump)
• How maths gave us the notes in an octave.
