KS3 dance students compete in the Great Big Dance Off Regional Finals!

Posted on 11/03/2019 KS3 dance students compete in the Great Big Dance Off Regional Finals!

A number of our KS3 dancers got through to the West Midlands Regional Finals for The Great Big Dance Off Competition! Four mixed dance groups competed at The New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham on Monday 25th February. There were a variety of performances ranging from a Year 7 Street Dance quartet about a girl being caught up in trouble, a Year 7 trio inspired by the Hunger Games, a Year 8 duet which is a story about a single mother and a Year 9 quartet about sisters and a tragedy.

The students dedicated a lot of their spare time during lunchtime and after school rehearsals to choreograph the performances themselves! Unfortunately none of the dance acts got through to the final but it was very close for two of the Chase groups. Massive congratulations to all 13 students who got to the Regional Finals! All of the students danced their hearts out, the competition was really tough and Miss Dee is very proud of them all.
