Posted on 29/11/2017 Custard Factory – making art not dessert!

On Thursday 23rd November Year 10 Art students from The Chase visited The Custard Factory in Birmingham’s creative quarter exploring diverse styles of street art to gain inspiration for their own work. Located on the site of the original Bird’s Custard Factory in Digbeth, the development is now a collection of independent creative business.

Liv Booton “The street art we saw was very bright….I am inspired by all the busy and bold graffiti. I really liked all the photo opportunites round every corner”

Marco Miller “The inspiration I’ll take awat from the graffiti si the backgrounds and font styles to try out”

Lily Smith “Today I have learnt that there is a big difference between ‘Street Art’ and ‘Graffiti’….The inspiration that I will take from this trip (for my project) will be to use bold colours and also not to be afraid about using black and white only in pieces”
