Open Evening

An Open Evening is held each year, usually on the Thursday before the Autumn Half-Term holiday, when the school, its buildings, facilities and resources are on view for the inspection of the public at large. In addition, parents of all local children who are in their final year of primary school are invited to attend so that, accompanied by their children, they may take a look at the school and thereby make an informed choice of secondary school later in the year.
Our Open Evening will be held on
Thursday 22nd October 2009, 6.30 - 8.30 pm
During the course of the evening there will be conducted tours of the school, demonstrations and exhibitions, and members of the teaching staff will be present to answer enquiries.
Parents wishing to see the Headteacher at any other time should write or telephone for an appointment.

- Monday 3 September 10: Induction Day 2
We recognise that it is important to provide a smooth and efficient transition from Primary School to Secondary School, and to introduce new students to the high expectations for work, behaviour and attitudes that we expect at The Chase. This is achieved by Year 6 students attending an Induction Day towards the end of the Summer term (Tuesday 22 June 2010) when they will meet their Form Tutors, have a formal first assembly, a guided tour of the school and spend time in lessons. The induction process continues on a second Induction Day (Friday 3 September) - before the whole school returns for the start of the Autumn Term.
