Record of Achievement Assembly - Year 11 - May 2009

Graeme Hick, Worcestershire and England cricket star, presented Year 11 students at The Chase "Malvern" with their Record of Achievement folders on Thursday 21 May. He entered the school hall to a standing ovation from the enthusiastic students who really appreciated having such a distinguished guest in their midst. Mr Hick made a huge impression, shaking the hand of every student, wishing them well as he presented them with their impressive Record of Achievement documentation. He also addressed the students, encouraging them to make brave decisions in life, and to stick with things until they turn out right. He touched everyone with his honest and friendly words about what it takes to succeed. His exemplary twenty five year cricketing career was an inspiration to all those listening. Annie Williams, Deputy Headteacher said, "I am delighted that Graeme Hick was able to present our awards this year. He has been a tremendous role model for young people in Worcestershire for many years and we were thrilled to welcome him to our school. It is especially appropriate that he was our guest, given his own outstanding record of achievement."
