Summer Fair - THANK YOU!

We would like to thank everyone who helped to plan the fair, those who helped set up on the day, all who manned the stalls, the many who sent in lovely donations for sale and last but not least everyone who came along to the fair and supported us and spent their money!

We raised £1700 thanks to all our many helpers and supporters. This is a fantastic amount of money and more than we have ever raised before at a summer fair.

The weather undoubtedly helped - it was a glorious summer evening so that even the poor teachers being soaked were not at risk of hypothermia!

How to get involved with the Chase Association

We have had a few new members sign up to help us at the Chase Association and we are extremely grateful for the support they are already giving us with running events. However, we are in urgent need of a treasurer.

Some of you may not be aware that the Chase Association is a registered Charity and for us to fulfil our Charity Status we need to have a committee which includes the following officers: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, plus a further 5 committee members.  Our current committee falls short of the required number of people so if you feel you can spare a little time to come along to a few meetings per year (the dates are below for next year's meetings), we would love to see you. Especially if you'd like to be treasurer!

Working on the Chase Association in a school of this size means that our regular events such as the Summer and Christmas fair require many willing helpers and we are always amazed at how many of you (parents and teachers alike) turn out each time to give us your support on the day. We are really grateful for this and it means that the event can run smoothly.

If you would like any more information about the Chase Association or would like to know more about the position of Treasurer, please contact angelahughes44@hotmail.com or pauline@striplin.co.uk.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 14th September, in the 6th Form block at 7.30pm, please do come along and find out what's going on. You will find dates for meetings and events throughout the year if you click on "Events" above.

Lost Property

Named lost property is sent to Pupil Reception in the first instance. Students will receive a message via their Form Tutor to go and collect lost items. THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN IF ALL ITEMS ARE NAMED - INCLUDING COATS AND PE KITS.

If anyone can help running lost property pick up sessions at school, please contact the Chase Association.

Bursaries

Any student wishing to attend a course, special event, or something which helps with personal development is eligible for a bursary. We have provided up to £100 to help students attend Summer Schools, orchestra workshops, Scouting events, orienteering events and drama sessions to name but a few! Please write to us (via main school reception) if you would like to apply.
